On April 26, Ituna School held a school showcase event for students, families and the community. Each classroom had an opportunity to show off what they have been working on, with some students sharing want to be when they grow up. The school showcase is an event held every two years in Ituna School. This year, for the first time, the school invited past graduates to speak with students and staff. These past graduates shared with students about how their time in school helped them on their path to success. Students heard from these special guests about what it's like to work in agriculture, hardressing, the RCMP, and a number of other careers in which past graduates of Ituna School have found success. The school also invited Creeson Agecoutay, of CTV Regina, to speak with students about his career in journalism. Mr. Agecoutay is a former student of one of Ituna School’s current teachers. Following the classroom showcases, there was a red carpet event held in the school gym, “celebrating student success, past and present”. The event closed with an open house, where families and community members were invited to spend time in the school, getting to know staff and learning about the opportunities and successes at Ituna School.
