Grade 1-8 students in a number of Horizon schools have enjoyed
visits from the touring “Seed Survivor” exhibit by Agrium, Inc. over the past couple weeks. This exhibit has been touring Saskatchewan schools, sharing
information and interactive games that teach students about the importance of agriculture and growing healthy plants. Horizon schools on this tour include Wakaw School, Bruno School, Humboldt Public School, Lanigan Elemenatry School, Watrous Elementary School, Nokomis School, Watson School and St. Brieux School.
From Agrium Inc.:
“Seed Survivor consists of five curriculum-based interactive
children’s displays that are fun for the whole family. Visitors have an
opportunity to compete as virtual farmers, design a garden, and even
plant a seed to take home and grow.”
More information can be found on the Seed Survivor website.
