Horizon Central Athletic Association (HCAA)

The Horizon Central Athletic Association (HCAA) is one of fourteen Saskatchewan high school athletics districts. It is located in central/east-central Saskatchewan. The HCAA was founded in the fall of 2006 as a result of the amalgamation of Saskatchewan school divisions.
The boundaries of the HCAA follow the geographical boundaries of the Horizon School Division, and therefore currently include 43 schools from Horizon School Division and eight schools not run by Horizon School Division.

Archery
A District Championship is held for
Grades 6-12 students in three male and three female age categories. |
Badminton District Championships are held in both junior and senior categories for: - Boys Singles - Girls Singles - Boys Doubles - Girls Doubles - Mixed Doubles (Horizon School Division runs leagues for junior developmental, junior competitive, and senior badminton) |
Basketball District Championships are held in: - Jr. Boys Basketball - Jr. Girls Basketball using a “final 16” bracket format. (Horizon School Division runs leagues in all the above categories, as well as senior boys and girls) |

Cross Country
A District Championship is held for Grade 5-12 students in six male and six female age categories. |
Curling
District Championships are held in:
- Sr. (Boys, Girls, Mixed, Doubles) - Jr. (Boys, Girls, Mixed, Doubles) |
Football - Flag
Horizon School Division runs flag football leagues for Grades 6-9 in the fall, when there is interest, and for senior girls in the spring. |

Football - Tackle
There is no District Championship
(nor Horizon School Division league) for tackle football, as all teams are entered in conferences (leagues) which transcend District and School Division boundaries. |
Golf
District Championships are held in: - Sr. Grass Greens Golf - Jr. Grass Greens Golf |
Soccer
District Championships are held in: - Jr. Boys Soccer - Jr. Girls Soccer League play is used to determine the District Champion. (Horizon School Division runs leagues in both boys and girls junior and senior categories)

| Track & Field A District Championship is held for Grade 6-12 students in five male and five female age categories. |
Volleyball District Championships are held in: - Jr. Boys Volleyball - Jr. Girls Volleyball - Jr. "B" Boys Volleyball - Jr. "B" Girls Volleyball (Horizon School Division runs leagues in all the above categories, as well as Sr. Boys and Sr. Girls) |
Wrestling Typically, no HCAA schools (but at time one) run wrestling programs. |
